Allowances in relationships – Adult pocket money

‘Allowances’ in Modern day relationships – Don’t do ‘adult pocket money’.

Rachel Smith Author of Underspent says men and women should avoid ‘adult pocket money’ and allowances in modern day relationships.
Rachel says at the start of a relationship couples should create a household budget, a savings plan and create a contingency fund for ‘Unexpected Events’ for example, a job loss, divorce, medical emergency or natural disaster such as a cyclone or flood that damages the family home.
Rachel says that 8 out of 10 people don’t know how much money they spend and a quarter of households don’t even know how much money they owe. Smith says that these overspending habits create unnecessary stress on current and past relationships and within extended families.
